How a shot is priced

A fishing room charges by the shot, not by the round, and that is the whole economic difference between this and an online slot game. Every time you fire, the room takes the current cannon value out of your balance. At the lowest setting that is ten sen. Fire twenty times without hitting anything and you have spent RM2 with nothing to show, which is what a dead minute looks like in here.

What comes back is a multiple of that same shot value. A small fish pays two to five times the shot, a mid sized one ten to thirty, and a boss pays anything from fifty times up to a four figure multiple in the specialist rooms. Because the payout scales off your cannon, raising the cannon raises both sides of the ledger at once. The wallet behind all of it is the same one every other online casino game on the platform draws from. How that works is explained on the Dadu44 Online Casino page.

The practical consequence is that a fishing session bleeds in a steady line rather than in steps. There is no spin that costs nothing, and no free round waiting at the bottom of the screen. Every shot is real money from the moment you fire it.

Cannon levels, and what they really change

The cannon selector usually runs from level 1 to level 10, and up to 100 in a high room. Most people treat it as a power setting, the way a lot of arcade gaming works. It is not. The cannon moves your stake per shot and your payout multiple in exactly the same proportion, so the expected return of a shot at level 1 and a shot at level 10 is identical.

What it does change is speed and variance. A higher cannon kills a fish in fewer shots, which means fewer wasted shots on a fish somebody else finishes first, and in a busy room that is a real advantage. It also means the ten seconds you spend missing cost ten times as much as they did a minute ago.

On mobile the fire button sits under your right thumb and auto fire is buried in the menu, which is worth finding before a boss arrives rather than during one. Our Android mobile app handles a crowded screen better than a browser tab on an older phone, which is how most members in Malaysia play these rooms, and the install notes are on the Dadu44 APK page.

Boss fish, multipliers and the drop table

Boss fish are the reason the rooms exist. A dragon, a golden toad, a kraken depending on the studio, each with a hit point pool far larger than anything else on screen and a multiplier printed above its head. That number is what you are paid if your shot lands the killing hit, multiplied by your cannon value.

The part that catches people out is that damage is not banked. Fifty shots into a boss that somebody else finishes pays you nothing at all. There is no share of the pot for the player who did the work, and in a shared room the player who fires last takes the lot. That is the bluntest rule in online gambling, it holds in every studio we carry, and it is not a fault in the game.

Special weapons, the chain lightning, the drill, the freeze, consume several shots worth of balance in one tap, and the option is priced accordingly. They are worth the money against a boss that is nearly dead, and expensive against one at full health.

Rooms by stake, and why the tier is the decision

Rooms are tiered by shot value, and the tier is the one decision that settles how long your money lasts. Walking into a high room with RM30 is the commonest mistake we see from a new Malaysian player: four minutes later the balance is gone, and the conclusion is that the room is rigged, when the room simply charges RM1 a tap. The RM1 minimum deposit is there so you can test a room before you fund an evening in it.

Read that third column before you pick anything. The number of shots is the session. Everything else, the artwork, the theme, the boss on the poster, is decoration. A seat at a Dadu44 Live Casino table costs more per decision and gives you far fewer of them, and a hand of blackjack at a live dealer table is a different kind of evening entirely.

Who supplies the rooms

Four studios cover almost everything on the fishing tab. JILI is the volume supplier: the most rooms, the cleanest phone controls, and beginner tiers that start at ten sen. CQ9 builds the heavier themed rooms with longer boss sequences. Spadegaming leans arcade, with faster fish cycles and shorter rounds. JDB runs the odd formats, including rooms that mix a fishing grid with a slot style bonus.

They do not share a drop table or a hit point model, so a fish that dies in six shots in a JILI room can take nine in a CQ9 room at the same cannon. Learning one studio does not transfer cleanly to another, and that is the usual reason a member who was doing fine suddenly is not.

All four publish an RTP figure in the game information panel, generally between 95% and 97%, calculated across shots rather than rounds. It is the same sort of long run average an online slot quotes, and it tells you just as little about one particular evening. Trust it as an average and nothing more.

Solo, or a shared room

Most rooms are shared: three to seven players on one screen, all firing at the same fish. Shared rooms fill faster, the big fish spawn more often because the spawn rate scales with occupancy, and you are competing for the killing hit on every boss that appears.

A solo room removes the competition and removes the spawn rate along with it. Fewer fish, no race, and a much flatter curve. For a member working through a turnover condition that is usually the better room, because a flat curve is easier to plan around than a lottery on who fires last. Money comes in on the ordinary rails, Touch 'n Go, Boost or a bank transfer, and the payment option makes no difference to a room. We hold no card details and accept no crypto. The withdrawal path is the same either way, back to the registered account on the terms set out on the Dadu44 Withdraw page.

In a shared room, do not open fire on a boss that has just spawned at full health unless you hold the balance to finish it yourself. Let the room take it down and join near the end. It feels cynical and it is simply how the payout rule works.

Bankroll at ten sen a shot, and the 20% weighting

Here is the arithmetic that decides whether an evening works. At RM0.10 a shot and roughly two shots a second with auto fire running, a beginner room consumes about RM12 an hour before anything comes back. Returns usually give most of that back, so RM50 in a beginner room is a two to three hour session, and that long flat curve is the point of fishing. The same RM50 at RM1 a shot is fifteen minutes. Over the same hour the Dadu44 Slot floor swings harder in both directions. Every figure on this page is in MYR.

Turn auto fire off when the screen is nearly empty. It is the cheapest habit to learn here, because auto fire cannot tell the difference between a fish and empty water, and it will happily spend RM3 shooting at nothing while you read a message.

On turnover, which the industry also calls the wagering requirement, fishing counts 20%, which sits between slots at 100% and live tables at 10%. A welcome bonus can be cleared in these rooms, it simply takes five times the staked volume it would take on the reels. The 1.0% rebate, cashback by its more common name, pays on fishing stakes daily at 7pm whether or not a bonus is running, and the full conditions are set out on the Dadu44 Promotion page.

Frequently asked questions
What is the cheapest shot on the floor?

RM0.10 in the JILI and Spadegaming beginner rooms. The shot value is the cannon value, so the figure on the selector is exactly what leaves your balance each time you fire.

Does a higher cannon improve my odds?

No. It scales the stake and the payout by the same factor, so the expected return per shot does not move. It only changes how fast you kill a fish and how fast the balance moves in both directions.

I shot a boss fifty times and someone else killed it. Do I get anything?

Nothing. The killing hit takes the whole multiplier and damage is not banked anywhere. That rule is the same across JILI, CQ9, Spadegaming and JDB, and it is why timing matters in a shared room.

Is a solo room better than a shared one?

It is flatter, not richer. Solo removes the race for the killing hit and removes the higher spawn rate with it. For clearing turnover that trade is usually worth taking; for chasing a big multiplier it is not.

Does fishing count towards bonus turnover?

Yes, at 20%. That sits between slots at 100% and live tables at 10%, so a condition that takes RM1,800 of slot stakes takes RM9,000 of fishing stakes.

Can I try a fishing room without depositing?

Most JILI and CQ9 rooms open in demo with play money, which is enough to learn the controls and the drop table. Demo shots carry no turnover and no winnings.
